Dayton Metro Library is pleased to host a special art exhibit in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month: Presented by SOS ART of Cincinnati, Derechos Humanos – Human Rights Portfolio of Woodcut Prints will be on display at the Main Library, in the Opportunity Space @ Patterson, Monday, September 26 – Saturday, October 29.
This unique project is a collaboration between SOS ART and Taller Burro Press in Oaxaca, Mexico. Artists were challenged to create images and messages surrounding human rights through a collaborative process across different cultures. The exhibit is a portfolio of 25 prints that were created by 12 artists from Oaxaca and 12 from Cincinnati, each print addressing one of 12 human rights. A 25th print represents the title page of the portfolio.
The Main Library is located at 215 East Third Street, Dayton. This exhibit is free and open to the public. For more information about SOS ART, visit sosartcincinnati.com.
