There’s always something fun going on downtown! Below you’ll find a list of events scheduled for today. Use the filters at the top to find events by date, keyword, and more. You can also view the calendar by month or as a list of 20 events at a time.
Have an event to submit to our calendar? If it is located downtown (within our service area) and open to the public, it’s likely we’ll include it. Send us your event info using our event submission form.

Dayton Metro Library and the University of Dayton were selected by the Association for Library Service to Children to host the 2023 Children’s Literature Lecture featuring the award-winning illustrator and author Bryan Collier.
In honor of Collier’s visit, DML scheduled a selection of companion programs to be held at several DML locations. The following programs allow patrons to create their own inspired-by-Collier artwork and take it home or keep it at the Library for a display:

Advanced registration is required for the ALSC Children’s Literature Lecture featuring Bryan Collier on Wednesday, April 12, 6-9 pm at the University of Dayton Kennedy Union Ballroom. A light reception will be held at 6 pm, and the lecture begins at 7 pm. Books will be available for purchase with a book signing after the event.
