The Yellow Cab Tavern in Downtown Dayton is well known for live music, food trucks, silent discos and many other community gatherings but they’re welcoming in a new form of performing arts, Stand Up Comedy. They’ll be hosting a live standup comedy showcase every third Saturday and then every Tuesday at 7:30 you can attend or perform at a live comedy standup open mic.
“It’s always been our mission to embrace every form of visual and performing arts at The Yellow Cab. Adding stand up comedy is a natural step to continue growing our offerings,” said Brian Johnson, marketing manager for The Yellow Cab Tavern. “We’re excited to welcome professional comics every third Saturday and then work with developing comics during our open mics on Tuesdays.”
“Almost nobody is just great at their craft right out of the gate,” Johnson continued. “Our Tuesday comedy open mics are a great opportunity for new or up and coming comics to practice their jokes and get their name out their in front of a supportive audience”
