RTA Interactive Hiring Event

The Greater Dayton RTA will let you get behind the wheel of a new career—literally—during an interactive hiring event June 10-11 at the University of Dayton Arena. Prospective bus drivers will be offered the chance to test drive the agency’s big diesel buses and/or small paratransit buses and get a feel for what it means to be a bus driver.
| RTA is hosting an interactive job fair where candidates can actually get behind the wheel of our buses to see what it is like to drive for the RTA. After an initiatial screening, participants will be able to try their hand at an obstacle course aboard one of RTA‘s 40-foot diesel buses or small white buses. No CDL is required, but the participants must have a valid Driver’s License. RTA trainers will assist to ensure the ride goes smoothly. By getting a feel for what it’s like to drive one of the agency’s top-of-the-line vehicles, the hope is candidates will feel more connected to their future career.
