SUMMARY:Sensory Inclusive: Goodnight Moon & The Runaway Bunny
DESCRIPTION:In this sensory inclusive performance\, you can expect a reduction of loud or jarring sounds\, the absence of flashing or strobe lighting on stage\, modification of house lights during the performance\, and a judgment-free environment where all patrons are free to vocalize or move around the theatre. There are trained staff members at the performance to help with any questions or needs during your visit. At no time will anyone be asked to leave the performance due to vocal reactions\, movement\, or behaviors related to cognitive or developmental abilities. \nGOODNIGHT MOON is a celebration of familiar nighttime rituals\, while THE RUNAWAY BUNNY’s pretend tale of leaving home evokes reassuring responses from his loving mum. Both feature endearing rabbit characters\, and the soothing rhythms of bunny banter and dream-like imagery never fail to infuse young readers with a reassuring sense of security. Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia’s staged adaptation brings a new sense of appreciation to stories that have delighted several generations. \nIt is our hope that this production will make attending the theatre an accessible and enjoyable experience for all.
