DESCRIPTION:Dayton Metro Library welcomes The Human Race Theatre Company (HRTC) for Community Conversations: The Hot Wing King on Thursday\, May 21\, 5-7 pm\, in the Main Library’s Eichelberger Forum. Enjoy a lively discussion featuring Emily Wells\, HRTC artistic director; Jordan Ostrum\, DML’s LGBTQIA+ services specialist; and Darnell Pierre Benjamin\, director of The Hot Wing King. The Hot Wing King is a regional premiere for HRTC based on Katori Hall’s Pulitzer Prize-nominated play set against the Hot Wang Festival in Memphis. Moderated by Tiffany Countyman\, HRTC’s engagement and learning coordinator\, the discussion will explore how themes of family\, identity\, community\, and ambition resonate in Dayton.
