SUMMARY:Honoring the Service and Legacy of America’s Women Veterans
DESCRIPTION:Join us at The Dayton Woman’s Club as we honor the remarkable contributions of women in the U.S. military at our Women Veterans Day Celebration. \nWe are proud to welcome guest speaker Abby Auclair\, a local Vietnam War veteran and former Army nurse. Books will be available for purchase as well. \nFREE for Women Veterans\n$15 for all other guests \nBeverages & light snacks will be served \nADVANCE ONLINE TICKET PURCHASE REQUIRED

SUMMARY:Second Saturday Poetry Salon
DESCRIPTION:A comfortable environment to share your work or talk about poems and poets who interest you. Poets of all levels are welcome\, but these free programs are intended for adults. \nNovember’s optional prompt is “Confessional.” \nThere will be a short talk at 7:40 on November’s featured poet\, Sylvia Plath\, from queer poet and artist Shailyn Elliott. When Shailyn Elliott isn’t writing\, they can be found crocheting or doodling with watercolors. They currently reside in Ohio with their black cat names Catastrophe. \nGiven the powerful and intensely personal nature of confessional poetry\, we are setting aside the first half-hour or so for poems that are not confessional in nature. Don’t be shy! Come out and read us some poems! \nFree bottled water\, coffee\, and cookies. \nThis program may run longer or shorter depending on attendance.
