SUMMARY:2025 Fine Art Faculty Exhibition Featuring Bridgette Bogle
DESCRIPTION:Event Title: 2025 Fine Art Faculty Exhibition Featuring Bridgette Bogle Event Description: Sinclair Community College’s annual Fine Art Faculty Exhibition will usher in the beginning of the 2025-2026 academic year. Each fall\, the Burnell R. Roberts Triangle Gallery\, the Works on Paper Gallery\, as well as other spaces around Building 13 display work from the faculty and adjunct faculty of Sinclair’s Art Department. The Burnell R. Roberts Triangle Gallery traditionally features one faculty member\, and this year will exhibit works by Professor Bridgette Bogle. Bogle’s exhibition is a reflection on her weekly walks through Woodland Cemetery. Colored pencil drawings along with installation work consisting of discarded polyester petals from the cemetery examine the contrast of the natural landscape and human-made artifacts of grief. This body of work explores the complexity of loss\, the impulse to both mimic and disrupt nature\, impermanence\, and the passage of time. There will be a virtual artist talk with Professor Bogle over Zoom on September 12\, 2025 at 12pm. A reception will be held September 4 from 4:30pm-6pm in Building 13’s 4th Floor Atrium. Visit sinclair.edu/artgalleries for further details. The Fine Art Faculty Exhibition will be on display from August 18 through September 19\, 2025. Gallery spaces are located on the third and fourth floor of building 13 (located at W. Fifth and S. Perry Streets). The galleries are free and open to the public from 8am–6pm Monday–Friday and 9–12 Saturdays.

SUMMARY:King Kyote
DESCRIPTION:Doors 7PM – Show 8PM\nGA Tickets: $20 Advance / $25 Day Of Show\nVIP Pre-Doors Meet & Greet details will be sent the week of show.\n\nHarken to a night of whiskey drinking in a cabin among the pines\, King Kyote echoes the yells of Rock & Roll’s fore-bearers while having a deeply rooted harmony with the Blues\, Roots-Rock & Indie-Americana genres. A force to be reckoned with on stage\, Kyote’s fiery live shows prove that pure raw talent combined with real\, honest songwriting is still the future of today’s music.\nHailing from the Maine coast\, King Kyote’s sound and inspiration come from how he views and interprets the world around him. He expresses himself through a unique lens—like a photograph\, putting pen to paper capturing life’s most delicate and bold moments. The ability to draw creative power from the waves he rides and mountains he climbs gives Kyote a distinct perspective on the intertwines of the vagabond troubadour and the artist.\nOver the last five years\, King Kyote has firmly established himself as a standout artist\, garnering attention as one of the prominent figures to keep an eye on in the northeast. Kyote represented his home state of Maine on NBC’s American Song Contest with his song “Get Out Alive” which was released on Atlantic Records in March of 2022. King Kyote has shared stages with legendary artists\, including Taj Mahal\, Molly Tuttle & The Golden Highway\, The Record Company\, Houndmouth\, and Robert Randolph & The Family Band.\n“I like the way he holds his own\, his vocal tone and his penmanship”- Snoop Dogg\nKing Kyote is gearing up for an extraordinary 2025\, embarking on an extensive national tour for the first time in his career\, this monumental journey aligns with the release of his latest record.

SUMMARY:NBFY Expressions of Peace Expo 2025 – EPEX2025
DESCRIPTION:Join New Beginnings For You for our First Annual Expressions of Peace Expo (EPEX 2025) at the Dayton Convention Center on Saturday\, September 20\, 2025. For decades\, local and national peace-seeking coalitions composed of many concerned community stakeholders have invested much time and energy in raising awareness about the causes\, conditions\, impacts\, and prevalence of violence. Our conversation with individuals and families has identified an unmet need. In response\, New Beginnings For You began to plan for The Expressions of Peace Expo. On September 20\, 2025\, we will convene partners from various entities and attendees from diverse backgrounds to find\, foster\, protect\, and express pathways to our individual and collective peace. The Expressions of Peace Expo will offer a platform for our communities to harness the power of our trauma awareness experiences and move toward trauma reduction\, healing\, and avoidance-a well-care approach to peace. During the expo\, attendees will enjoy keynote speakers\, a variety of workshops and panel discussions\, live entertainment\, interactive wellness demonstrations\, and an exclusive Expressions of Peace Film Showcase. Some of our partners\, presenters\, and vendors will provide attendees with opportunities to connect to services\, projects\, and newly imagined initiatives throughout the year. We want to promote and create a culture of peace beyond the boundaries of the event. We invite young people from area schools and community programs to plan\, create\, and share how they envision and express peace. The common areas\, our dedicated youth exhibit space\, and the main stage will serve as galleries throughout the expo to celebrate their work. You will be glad you attended The Expressions of Peace Expo (EPEX 2025) on September 20\, 2025.
