SUMMARY:The Comeuppance
DESCRIPTION:As the sun sets on the eve of their twentieth high school reunion\, a close-knit group of former classmates—once known as the “Multi-Ethnic Reject Group”—reunites to pre-game the monumental night. Bonded in their youth as outsiders\, they now navigate the complexities of adulthood with humor\, heart\, and a hint of nostalgia. \nBrilliantly witty\, theatrical\, and moving\, The Comeuppance focuses on millennials reckoning with the world they will soon inherit. This play is a toast to the ties that bind us\, the past that shapes us\, and the future we step into together. \nRecommended if you liked… Barbecue\, peerless\, Dead Like Me\, Heathers

SUMMARY:Saint-Saëns Organ Symphony
DESCRIPTION:Saint-Saëns’s symphony is known as “THE organ symphony” and for good reason: the sweet and familiar melodies hung between moments of blazing climactic glory will have audiences at the edge of their seats. Each movement is better than the last! Leading up to this epic work is an organ concerto by Handel\, which has inspired composers for centuries. Also on the program is a new work by Derrick Skye\, “Nova Plexus\,” co-commissioned by DPAA\, the Berkeley Symphony\, and the BBC.

SUMMARY:Reni Gower and Kate Santucci Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:The Sinclair Community College Art Department is pleased to present “GEOmatrix: a Perfect Proof” by Reni Gower in the Burnell R. Roberts Triangle Gallery and “Waxing On” by Kate Santucci in the Works on Paper Gallery. Gower’s “GEOmatrix: a Perfect Proof” recognizes geometric perfection as the matrix of humanity and the blueprint of the cosmos. Large hand-cut papercuts\, stencil-masked pulp paintings\, and machine cut vinyl decals are imbued with repetitive\, geometric pattens. These tessellations\, similar to decoration across many cultures\, offer a calming\, luminous\, and contemplative respite from these unprecedented times. Working with colored beeswax and resin layered with pigments and oil paint\, Santucci reveals and obscures symbols and images formed through drawing\, mark making and hand-cut stencils. The multi-layered encaustic works exhibited in “Waxing On” explore themes such as communication\, time\, place\, and the perception of the way things change\, both in the short and long term. There will be a virtual artist talk via Zoom on Friday\, May 23\, 2025\, at 12pm. Visit www.sinclair.edu/artgalleries for details. The exhibitions will be on display from May 19–June 23\, 2025. Galleries are located on the fourth floor of building 13 (located at West Fifth and Perry Streets). The galleries are free and open to the public from 8am–6pm Monday–Friday and 9am–12pm Saturdays.

It’s a festival created for our city and by the people who live\, work\, and create here. \nNow in its sixth year\, 4DBD has grown from a grassroots passion project into a signature summer event hosted at The Levitt Pavilion. What started in 2019 with 700 attendees has since welcomed thousands of people throughout the years\, as well as dozens of musicians! \nBut this isn’t just about music. It’s about celebrating Dayton’s community spirit—the strength\, resilience\, and creativity that define our city. With food trucks and family-friendly activities\, 4DBD is a place where neighbors connect\, artists shine\, and the city comes alive.
