SUMMARY:Rob Schneider: Rescue Husband
DESCRIPTION:Rob Schneider is an accomplished actor\, comedian\, screenwriter and director. A stand-up comic and veteran of the award-winning NBC sketch comedy series “Saturday Night Live” (where he was a three-time Emmy nominated writer)\, Schneider has gone on to a successful career in films\, television and continues his world-wide standup tour. \nBorn in San Francisco\, Schneider’s family is of Filipino and Caucasian descent. His father was Jewish and his mother Catholic. His mixed background has been a common theme in his comedy acts. Schneider started his stand-up career in high school opening for the popular San Francisco band “Head On\,” and was a regular guest on local radio. An opening slot for Dennis Miller garnered him an appearance on HBO’s “13th Annual Young Comedians” special also hosted by Miller. The special led him to a coveted position as a writer for “SNL” in 1988. Schneider swiftly moved from a writer and featured player to a full cast member with a cast that included Adam Sandler\, Chris Rock\, David Spade and the late Chris Farley. \nAfter leaving “SNL” in 1994 Schneider went to roles in film and television including a starring role in the NBC sitcom “Men Behaving Badly\,” and starring roles in the feature films Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo\, The Animal\, The Hot Chick\, Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo\, and The Benchwarmers. He also recently appeared in Netflix’s The Wrong Missy and the recently released Hubie Halloween.

SUMMARY:Second Saturday Poetry Salon
DESCRIPTION:A comfortable environment to share your work or talk about poems and poets who interest you. Poets of all levels are welcome\, but these free programs are intended for adults. \nNovember’s optional prompt is “Confessional.” \nThere will be a short talk at 7:40 on November’s featured poet\, Sylvia Plath\, from queer poet and artist Shailyn Elliott. When Shailyn Elliott isn’t writing\, they can be found crocheting or doodling with watercolors. They currently reside in Ohio with their black cat names Catastrophe. \nGiven the powerful and intensely personal nature of confessional poetry\, we are setting aside the first half-hour or so for poems that are not confessional in nature. Don’t be shy! Come out and read us some poems! \nFree bottled water\, coffee\, and cookies. \nThis program may run longer or shorter depending on attendance.

SUMMARY:Classic Albums Live Performs Eagles: Their Greatest Hits
DESCRIPTION:Do you remember listening to an entire album? The thrill of dropping the needle on the greatest music ever recorded? Classic Albums Live does. CAL takes the greatest classic rock albums and recreates them live on stage – note for note\, cut for cut. With all the focus on the music\, there’s no room for distracting costumes or impersonations\, just an exceptional ensemble of performers who have graced music’s elite stages and collaborated with industry icons. Each CAL show offers two distinct experiences: a faithful rendition of the chosen record in the first half\, followed by a dynamic set featuring the artist’s greatest hits. \nThe voices on the album Eagles: Their Greatest Hits are complex\, the harmonies and lush details take attention to detail and a trained ear. CLASSIC ALBUMS LIVE PERFORMS EAGLES: THEIR GREATEST HITS has got it. Hearing “Take It To The Limit” performed live is a moving experience. “Best Of My Love” makes you look differently at your partner – more appreciatively. And “One Of These Nights” grooves. The Eagles are one of America’s greatest bands. We’ve grown up alongside their music\, and Classic Albums Live pays this album the respect it deserves.

SUMMARY:The Piano Guys
DESCRIPTION:Since their serendipitous inception in a Southern Utah piano shop\, THE PIANO GUYS have established themselves as an unstoppable musical force. At their core are Jon Schmidt (pianist\, songwriter) and Steven Sharp Nelson (cellist\, songwriter)\, whose dynamic performances and creative synergy have captivated audiences worldwide. \nIn 2023\, THE PIANO GUYS unveiled their 13th album\, Unstoppable\, a compilation of exhilarating and emotionally profound cover songs written over the past two years. Since their official debut in 2011\, THE PIANO GUYS have released 13 albums\, including six No.1 debuts on Billboard’s Top Classical Albums chart. \nTheir music has amassed over 2 billion global streams\, while their YouTube videos have been viewed 2.4 billion times. Their Spotify presence alone boasts nearly 2 million monthly listeners. Jon and Steven have sold out concert venues across the globe\, from Royal Albert Hall in London to iconic Sydney Opera House to Carnegie Hall and stunning Red Rocks! THE PIANO GUYS’ unique brand has earned recognition from publications like The New York Times\, Fast Company\, BuzzFeed\, and Mashable\, with appearances on “CBS Sunday Morning\,” “TODAY Show\,” “Good Morning America\,” and “The Tonight Show.” \nInitially\, the group started with Paul Anderson\, a renowned piano store owner turned producer and videographer\, Jon Schmidt\, pianist\, Steven Sharp Nelson\, cellist\, and Al van der Beek\, a music producer; they established THE PIANO GUYS as a YouTube channel showcasing piano and cello performances in nature. Collectively\, they took YouTube by storm\, accumulating over 2 billion views for their classical crossover music videos\, which were filmed amidst scenic natural landscapes and several of the Seven Wonders of the World. \n“Who would have ever thought that middle-aged dads from Utah filming classically influenced music in nature could ever succeed at the outset?” asks Steven Sharp Nelson. “Our favorite thing is to find a way to be on the fringes of possibility. We like to combine things you would never expect to find together – but are close enough to make sense. It has been our mindset from the beginning.”
