The Downtown Dayton Summer Music Series kicks off this Sunday with the Dayton Jazz Festival! This free concert features seven live bands, along with many food and merchandise vendors. Blankets and event seats welcome. Sorry, no tents, coolers, pets, grills, outside food and/or beverages allowed. Free water is provided. Scheduled performers include The Johnson Treatment, The Next Phaze, Anthony "Saxtone" Arrington, Chango, JT Frederick's Sax Groove, the Brian Cashwell Trio featuring Pamela Mallory, and Robert Sanae. Free admission. The Summer Music Series will continue with the Dayton Blues Festival on July 15 and the Dayton Reggae Festival on September 2. For more info, call 333-8400.

More than 50 years ago, singer-songwriter Stephen Stills met singer-songwriter Judy Collins, known for her piercing ocean blue eyes. Their tumultuous love affair would later be immortalized by Stills with his composition "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes," performed by Crosby, Stills & Nash on their landmark debut. Both artists would go on to shape modern music with visionary approaches, but Stills and Collins' short fiery union remains a transformative era for the two artists. It’s an irreverent, roller-coaster ride with the Bard that will leave you breathless with laughter as three incredibly talented actors take on all 37 of his plays in just 97 minutes... with a good amount of creative editing. This year’s tri-city walk/run is slated to be the largest HIV/AIDS awareness event in Ohio. The Walk will step off at 6 p.m., which means we will be back at Fifth Third Field to enjoy an evening cheering on the Dayton Dragons vs. the Bowling Green Hot Rods starting at 7.
