Admission is $7\, Skate Rental is $3\, and there are a limited number of skate helpers available for free. Visitors receive a 75% discount – $1.75 admission and $0.75 skate rental – on admission and skate rental by presenting either a SNAP/EBT or Access to Nature card at the Rental Office. This discount is made possible by Five Rivers MetroParks’ Access to Nature financial assistance program\, supported by the Five Rivers MetroParks Foundation.

Before you head to RiverScape MetroPark to hit the ice\, make sure you know before you go: Skates may be borrowed\, but are available in limited quantity and sizes and given out on a first-come\, first-served basis. Some guests may have to wait before skates become available. Upon arrival\, please review the MetroParks Ice Rink’s rules – this is how we keep people safe on the ice! The RiverScape Cafe will be open and cozy drinks and snacks will be available for purchase. This event is weather dependent and may be cancelled due to unseasonably warm or inclement weather. Skate to your favorite family-friendly hits\, grab some hot chocolate\, craft your own superhero\, and the first 100 kids will also receive a FREE super hero cape and mask to take home with them. *NEW* Our MetroParks Animal Ambassadors will also be onsite with some live furry (or scaled) friends for kids to meet. This event coincides with our Community Open Skate\, which includes FREE Admission and Skate Rental. Weather Dependent. \nGuests are encouraged to participate in family activities including a featured theme table\, coloring pages\, scavenger hunt\, and Penguin Toss. The Penguin Toss is free to all skaters and takes place at approximately 3pm. Participants will receive a penguin to toss onto the ice\, and whoever lands their penguin closest to the target will receive one of three prizes. \nSkaters are welcome to relax in one of several warming areas\, including a heated comfort tent containing games and seating. The RiverScape Cafe will also be open\, offering a variety of food and drinks (including our delicious hot cocoa!) for purchase. Admission is $7\, Skate Rental is $3\, and there are a limited number of skate helpers available for free. Visitors receive a 75% discount – $1.75 admission and $0.75 skate rental – on admission and skate rental by presenting either a SNAP/EBT or Access to Nature card at the Rental Office. This discount is made possible by Five Rivers MetroParks’ Access to Nature financial assistance program\, supported by the Five Rivers MetroParks Foundation.
