Shoppers can snap an ‘elfie’ and enter to win gift baskets at various downtown businesses during Shop Small Saturday, Saturday, November 25.

November 24, 2023 (DAYTON, Ohio) – The Downtown Dayton Partnership is teaming up with The Real Elf and thanking shoppers for spending their dollars at locally owned businesses on Shop Small Saturday. The “Shop Small, Win Big” giveaways will give shoppers the chance to take home one of five gift baskets full of Downtown Dollars and items from downtown Dayton businesses. Each basket is valued at approximately $500.

“Shopping local is something we always encourage, but the holiday season is an especially crucial time for our small businesses downtown,” said Katie Meyer, president of the Downtown Dayton Partnership. “We hope shoppers choose to keep their dollars in the community by supporting the small, unique, and locally-owned businesses that help make our downtown strong.”

From 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., shoppers can find staff of the Downtown Dayton Partnership along with The Real Elf at various downtown businesses. Shoppers of all ages are invited to take an “elfie” with The Real Elf. Shoppers 18 years or older can also share their name and contact email address to enter the giveaway drawings. No purchase or payment is necessary and one does not need to be present at the time of the drawing to win. Only one winner per household is allowed, and participants can only win one of the five gift baskets. Winners will be announced on Facebook Live on Saturday, November 25, and then contacted via email with more information.
