After several months of operating as an outdoor-only market coming out of the pandemic, indoor market stalls and hot-food providers will reopen starting this Saturday, July 17, at 2nd Street Market, which is located at 600 E. Second Street, in downtown Dayton. This Saturday is also the return of pre-pandemic hours of operation, which will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Saturdays only, according to market organizers. “We will start with Saturdays and then will continue to add additional days as customer base and vendor capacity allows,” said Lynda Suda, 2nd Street Market manager. Indoor seating will be spread throughout the building to provide people with more personal space. Face coverings will not be required, but encouraged for those who are not fully vaccinated. Disposable masks will be available at the entrances. Shoppers can expect a number of outdoor farmers market vendors to remain outside, relocating to the north side of the building along East Second Street.
