– Destination Dayton® is excited to welcome AcadeCon 2025, a three-day tabletop gaming convention, back to the Dayton Convention Center, Friday, November 7 through Sunday, November 9, 2025. Now in its 13th year, AcadeCon celebrates all forms of tabletop gaming—from role-playing and board games to card and strategy games—inviting gamers of all experience levels to “play with friends old and new.”
Presented by The RPG Academy, AcadeCon 2025 offers a full weekend of interactive fun and community. Attendees can enjoy hundreds of scheduled games across dozens of popular systems, an extensive open-play game library featuring more than 600 titles, and a wide range of special events including demo sessions, “learn-to-play” workshops, “play-to-win” opportunities, and unique live experiences such as costume contests, game-show competitions, karaoke, and panel discussions. A number of special guests from the gaming world will also be in attendance at AcadeCon 2025.
“We host a wide variety of tabletop games, and our motto is gaming with friends, old and new,” says RPG Academy founder Michael Ross. “By the time you’re done playing a game, you will be friends. That sort of fellowship is what AcadeCon is all about. If you like gaming, you’re going to have a ton of fun at AcadeCon. If you don’t know if you like gaming, come find out, and you probably will have a great time!”
Daily and full weekend badges are available for admission to AcadeCon. Full weekend (three-day) badges are $50, while single-day badges are $20 for Friday, $25 for Saturday and $15 for Sunday. In addition, specially priced badges are available for young adults, ages 14-17 ($20) and children, ages 13 and under ($5).
“The admission badge gets you access to nearly all of the events and activities at AcadeCon, so it is an affordable, family friendly experience,” Ross said. “A full weekend badge really is the best deal if you love gaming. Come out and do it all!”
Badge sales and event schedules are available at AcadeCon.com. Badges may also be purchased at the door. AcadeCon gaming hours are Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8, from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday, November 9, from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
