Miller-Valentine Group recently sold the historical Barclay building at 137 N. Main St. The brokerage and construction company is the primary tenant in the 10-story building. In a statement, MVG said the buyer, First Barclay, LLC, is a joint project between Columbus-based Lawyers Development Corp. and Chicago-based hotel developer First Hospitality Group. The joint venture plans to convert the property to a “branded boutique hotel.” Lawyers and FHG first partnered in transforming the Art Deco-era LeVeque Tower in downtown Columbus into the 149-room boutique Hotel LeVeque. The Marriott-flagged property belongs to the chain’s Autograph collection of boutique properties.
