The Windsor Companies has been making headlines recently, securing new tenants for their Fire Blocks development along Third Street, and landing huge historic tax credit awards:
- The Ohio Development Services Agency awarded The Windsor Companies $200,000 in tax credits to redevelop the Dayton Power & Light Building at 18 S. Jefferson St., and $451,000 for the Graphic Arts Building at 221-223 S. Ludlow St. Nationally renowned whiskey purveyor, The Century Bar, is doubling its size in its move to the Dayton Power & Light Building. The $1.6 million renovation will retain the historic, ornate carved bar, and add separate cocktail and wine lounges. The project is slated to wrap up later this year.
- Maria and Eric Walusis, owners of Watermark restaurant and Nibbles Catering in Miamisburg, are planning to open a new, upscale restaurant concept called “Paradox.” The name pays homage to Dayton poet Paul Laurence Dunbar. The new restaurant will occupy a first-floor spot in The Elks Building, located on the corner of Jefferson and Third streets.
Gem City Social Sports founders Kelsey Calderone and Nathan Omlor are planning to open a unique adult gaming concept in downtown Dayton. “Two Social” will be located at 123 E. Third St., featuring a full-service bar, and include games and activities like bocce ball, corn hole, giant Jenga, giant “pong,” and axe-throwing lanes. The 5,000-square-foot space would also be the home for Gem City Social Sports, a type of organization for casual adult team sports leagues.
