Spin scooters, the rent-by-the-minute electric scooter system, have returned to the streets of downtown Dayton after taking a brief hiatus during the cold and winter weather months. The orange scooters, which can be rented by downloading the Spin app and paying for the rides in the app, released a fleet of 200 electric scooters in downtown Dayton late last week. Spin representatives told local media the system will monitor demand and could drop more scooters in the future, and that the San Francisco-based company is looking to fill local positions at the transportation company. Spin scooters are part of the multi-modal transportation network in downtown Dayton that also includes the Link: Dayton Bike Share network and the Greater Dayton RTA free Flyer shuttle bus.
