Rediscover Business Spotlight: The Entrepreneurs Connection

Mike ColvinDowntown Event

Tell us a bit about yourself and your business. What made you decide to open your own small business and how long have you been in operation?

I’m Tae Winston and I am the owner of The Entrepreneurs Connection. My job is to help the community and connect local entrepreneurs to the community. I want to give the entrepreneurs the opportunity through our workshops and storefront to get their brand out there while still working and supporting their families. We have the ability to feature over 20 entrepreneurs in our downtown space each month.

I originally started organizing events in local conference centers. My events were successful so I opened my first location in 2019.  I was able to expand and open my downtown location this year.

What do you enjoy about working in downtown Dayton?

I love downtown Dayton. I’ve wanted to open a space downtown for sometime and am happy I had the opportunity this year. I enjoy the energy and diversity downtown.

Tell us something about your business that may surprise people to learn.

People may be surprised to learn we are open to all types of business. We support minority owned businesses in addition to anyone who is interested in starting a new business.

How is your business coping with the pandemic and how can people support you now?

Between our locations we are able to support over 60 entrepreneurs. The best way to support us is to come down and purchase from our location and support the entrepreneur.
