The historical Biltmore Towers in downtown Dayton, located at 210 N. Main St., is currently undergoing interior and exterior renovations of the building. The apartment complex, which is designed for seniors aged 55+ and residents with disabilities, is located inside the building that once was the Biltmore Hotel downtown, originally built in 1929 and named on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The current renovation work includes structural renovations such as new plumbing, elevators, roofing, and windows, and interior cosmetic upgrades, including new kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, and lighting for residents. Construction is slated to be completed by the end of the year, owners told the Dayton Daily News. The owners of the property, the real estate firm Related Companies, have partnered with the local nonprofit, St. Mary Development Corporation, to offer such services as food programs, healthcare, homecare, utility assistance, and transportation.
