A new market and sandwich shop is now open in the Fire Blocks District. Tony & Pete’s, located at 129 E. Third St., offers a curated selection of pantry staples, beer, wine, fresh produce, and grocery goods. Tony & Pete’s also serves old-school cold-cut sandwiches, salads and sides. Native Daytonian Kathleen Roll owns Tony & Pete’s alongside her husband, Justin Simmons. The pair has worked in several of downtown Dayton’s bars and restaurants, and managed some of the top establishments in Chicago before moving back to the Gem City. A ribbon-cutting for Tony & Pete’s is planned for 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9.
