The Fire Blocks District will welcome a new optometry practice later this year. Modern Eye has signed a lease at 110 E. Third Street. Owner Liz Eckhart says Modern Eye is a local and independent optometry practice with a special focus on the treatment and management of dry eye. The practice has signed a 10-year lease for the 2600-square-foot space and construction has already begun. Eckhart says she hopes to officially open by early July.
