Marshall Weiss, an author and historian, explores Dayton-area responses, actions, and inactions connected to Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. This includes stories of how Dayton’s Jewish and German immigrant communities interacted, a discussion of how local news stories provided coverage, German American Bund activities in Dayton, and how Jewish individuals and organization attempted to rescue Jews from Nazi Europe.
