There’s always something fun going on downtown! Below you’ll find a list of events scheduled for today. Use the filters at the top to find events by date, keyword, and more. You can also view the calendar by month or as a list of 20 events at a time.
Have an event to submit to our calendar? If it is located downtown (within our service area) and open to the public, it’s likely we’ll include it. Send us your event info using our event submission form.

An opportunity for poets to read to an audience in downtown Dayton, Ohio. We have sign-up slots for 20 poets and will also take drop-ins as we can fit you in. Poets at any stage of their careers are welcome, but please adults and older teens only please. Each poet gets a minute or two to introduce themselves and a full three minutes to read. Refreshments provided. Sign up in advance by messaging the bookstore via our Facebook page or by telephone (937) 999-4092. Please indicate the approximate time you’d like to read if you have a preference. Participation and attendance is free.
