A Season for Nonviolence is a national 64-day educational, media, and grassroots campaign dedicated to demonstrating that non-violence is a powerful way to heal, transform, and empower our lives and our communities. The purpose of this event is to promote and spread the principles of nonviolence to create a more inclusive, understanding, and compassionate society, ultimately helping to bridge the social divide in communities across America.
In January 2024 , representatives from the King, Gandhi, Scott and Mandela families are set to visit the International Peace Museum for a special series of events. This juncture holds the potential for a transformative moment—one that embodies strength, introspection, and a call to action in the pursuit of love, nonviolence, and peace. The coming together of these influential families to inaugurate the 2024 Season of Nonviolence carries profound symbolism. It sends a resounding message to our nation that peace is indispensable for the well-being of all, and its significance can endure for generations to come.
