Art in the City, presented by AES Ohio, returns for its eighth year this Saturday, August 3. The yearly celebration of the arts is a signature event of the AES Ohio Summer in the City series. From 1 to 7 p.m., artists, families, and art lovers of all ages are invited to learn more about their favorite styles of visual and performing art through workshops, enjoy live performances, make their mark with hands-on projects, and create lasting memories in downtown Dayton.

With more than 300 local artists expected to share their talents, more than 30 hands-on activities and demonstrations, and more than 100 live performances, Art in the City has something for guests of all ages and around every corner of downtown Dayton. Start planning your day-long celebration of the arts with event guides available now online and at participating downtown businesses. Guides include maps, schedules, and more to help guests navigate a day full of workshops, interactive projects, live performances, the Art Bazaar on 5th, a Juried Art Show, and more happening at venues around downtown Dayton. Volunteer opportunities are still available for Art in the City! Interested volunteers can learn more and sign up at downtowndayton.org/about-us/volunteer.
