Courthouse Square Fountain Project Continues to Progress

Mike ColvinFast Facts

Officials with Montgomery County shared an update this week about the work that’s now underway on the Courthouse Square fountain. Construction began last month to renovate the longtime centerpiece of Courthouse Square at 23 N. Main Street. The fountain’s new design will fit in the same footprint as the current water feature but is expected to also include a new granite base, benches, walkways, landscaping, and additional holiday lighting. The fountain has been out of order since 2020, and a full renovation was chosen in favor of the costly repair.

The fountain renovation is expected to be completed late this fall.
