The tree has officially been lit and the month-long Dayton Holiday Festival, presented by AES Ohio, is underway now in Downtown Dayton! Family Fun Days promise free fun and activities for all ages through the end of December. Guests are encouraged to bring loved ones together for a day of holiday cheer and lasting memories downtown.
Set the tone for the holidays with the Family Movie Series at THE NEON on Saturday, December 21. Kids get in free and adult tickets cost just $2 for a seasonal flick starting at 11 a.m. On the same day, be sure to visit the Winter Wonderland at Rabbit Hole Books. Little ones are invited to shop in a kid-sized store, enjoy tasty holiday treats, and even get a photo with the big man in red. The Winter Wonderland at Rabbit Hole Books will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 21. While exploring downtown, vote for your favorite storefront decorations in the Whimsical Windows decorating contest. Be sure to look out for elves hiding in those windows for your chance to win $100 in Downtown Dollars as part of the Elf Hunt contest! Text a photo of each elf you find to 937-304-4041 to enter.
A Family Fun Map and information about the Family Movie Series, Virginia Kettering’s Train Display, The Winter Wonderland at Rabbit Hole Books, Rike’s Holiday Windows, and the MetroParks Ice Rink is available at daytonholidayfestival.org.
