Dayton Metro Library will host All We Carry Film and Discussion with Guy Jones on Saturday, June 21, from 2-5:30 pm in the Main Library’s Eichelberger Forum.
All We Carry is a documentary that follows a Honduran family as they flee persecution. They migrate across Mexico, claim asylum at the U.S. border, and are then separated in detention. After being released in Seattle, a local synagogue sponsors the family as they await the decision on their asylum case and as they navigate moments of hardship and joy.
Guy Jones is a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Nation and the founder of the Miami Valley Council for Native Americans in Dayton. After the film, he will lead a conversation with film director Cady Vogue.
For more information about the film and its directors, visit allwecarrydoc.com. All ages are invited to the moving screening program. Registration is not required. For more information, visit DaytonMetroLibrary.org or call the Library’s Ask Me Line at 937.463.2665.
