Shoppers will have three new Downtown Dayton businesses to support this holiday season. Good Hands Bread Co. and Rad Vintage are celebrating their respective grand openings, while 5 Star Salon Academy is showing off new improvements.
Good Hands Bread Co. is located at 527 Wayne Avenue inside the Dietz Block Building. This is the first new business to open in the Dietz Block Building, where renovations have been going strong for the last several months. Good Hands Bread Co. owner Andrew Fisher says the new retail location will allow him to produce even more delicious bread for his stand at the 2nd Street Market and will be an additional location for devoted fans to pick up his products. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3.
Rad Vintage, a Cincinnati favorite, opened the doors on its first Dayton location at 116 W. Fifth St. late last week. Rad Vintage buys and sells vintage clothing, jewelry, and music from the 1970s to early 2000s. Shoppers are invited to peruse vintage fashions from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
5 Star Salon Academy, located at 125 E. Second St., is celebrating its grand re-opening this Friday, December 5. Owner Sh’Ron Henderson says the location space has been upgraded along with new programs and opportunities for Dayton’s future beauty professionals. A ribbon cutting will take place at noon on Friday, December 5, with festivities including guided tours, raffles, local vendors, and on-site enrollment continuing until 6 p.m. that evening.
