Area Agency on Aging has announced it will move its 150 employees from its current headquarters at 40 W. Second St. to 20,000 square feet in the CareSource building at 220 E. Monument Ave. The nonprofit, which provides resources and services for older adults, cited convenience to major highways and clients, as well as many of its employees, as a reason for staying downtown. The move is expected to happen July 1.
Elsewhere, nonprofit blood health organization Versiti plans to move from its current South Main Street location to Tech Town II at 711 E. Monument Ave. The move is assisted by $14 million in economic development revenue bonds from Montgomery County, and is expected to facilitate such features as a blood bank, blood testing lab, supply storage, blood storage, and administrative offices.
