June 1, 2026, DAYTON, Ohio – Summer is just around the corner, and Downtown Dayton is ready to
welcome the season! With longer days, warmer temperatures, outdoor patios buzzing, and exciting
events around every corner, there’s no better way to kick off June than during First Friday from 5-10
p.m. on Friday, June 5. June is packed with opportunities to get out and explore, from seasonal menus
and refreshing happy hours to live entertainment, local art, unique shopping experiences, and countless
ways to enjoy the start of summer.
As you enjoy the beautiful weather, remember that the Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA)
is in effect daily from noon until midnight all year-round! Guests 21 years and older are invited to
purchase a DORA beverage from a participating business to sip and stroll while taking in all that
Downtown Dayton has to offer. Get a refresher on the rules, see the boundary, and a list of all
participating vendors at downtowndayton.org/DORA.
Baseball season is here! Games for the Dayton Dragons vs. Fort Wayne, at Day Air Ballpark is Tuesday,
June 9 through Sunday, June 14. If you’re looking for family eats before the game or a place to celebrate
