There’s exciting news for patrons who love downtown’s eclectic drink and dining scene:
- The Dayton Beer Company announced that an expansion at the 41 Madison St. facility will increase production by as much as 35 percent. The brewery will create its own in-house canning line and filtration system. The project also includes additional fermentation tanks and space, lagering tanks, and a separate barrel-aging tank.
- Just a block away at 417 E. Third St., The Barrel House is also expanding its facility – on the outside. The tap house and carry-out is building a patio outside its front entrance where guests can enjoy a craft beer, cider, or wine from the 20 available taps. The outdoor space will accommodate about 10 people.
- Bar Granada, located at 5 W. Monument Ave. in the former Wine Gallery location, is wrapping up construction and reportedly will open soon. Owner Paul Pelnar said the business will be a Spanish-style tapas bar that will also feature a deli where patrons can purchase Spanish products like Iberico ham. The drink menu will feature sangria, Spanish beers, and other European items.
