In JOURNEY INTO THE EVERGLADES, 21-year-old conservation filmmaker Luca Martinez leads audiences into this wild and fragile world through cinematic imagery, music, aerial views, and poetic storytelling. Luca shares the beauty and complexity of the swamp, along with the urgency of protecting a landscape shaped by water, wildlife, and relentless development. From intimate animal encounters to sweeping views of South Florida’s remaining wild spaces, this presentation inspires audiences to see the Everglades not as a distant wilderness, but as a living system deeply connected to our future. To scientists, policymakers, students, and everyday audiences alike, Luca’s message is clear: our relationship with the land will determine its fate, and its fate will determine our own.
