The Downtown Dayton Partnership supports organizations that create intentional public spaces and enhance the well-being of our community. This is why the DDP Board of Trustees Executive Committee has chosen to endorse Five Rivers MetroParks’ Issue 6 on Montgomery County’s November ballot. If passed, Issue 6 will replace MetroParks’ existing 1.8-mill levy, plus add a small increase of 0.2 mills. Based on projections from the auditor, Issue 6 would generate about $18.1 million annually for Five Rivers MetroParks. The organization manages more than 16,000 acres of natural green space and public parks, including RiverScape MetroPark, which attracts millions of visitors annually through festivals, Saturday morning fitness programs, the ice rink, and more.
