New chargers for electric vehicles could be installed around Downtown Dayton. Dayton City Commissioners had the first reading of a new measure to install 8 new chargers around Dayton at a meeting earlier in the month. Of those 8 locations, 3 of them would be in Downtown Dayton at the Dayton City Hall parking garage, Oregon District Garage, and near Day Air Ballpark. Installation of the EV charging stations would be funded through the Sustainable Ohio Public Energy Council and a grant recently received from the U.S. Department of Transportation.
