New businesses are now open in Downtown Dayton with more are still on the way. Blind Rage Records officially opened the doors of its new Oregon District location, 508 E. Fifth St., earlier this month. The store sells a variety of records with a specialty in punk, hardcore, and metal offerings. Blind Rage Records is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
Also now open in the Oregon District is downtown favorite, Agnes. The authentic Caribbean restaurant has been located on Third Street for several years, but just held a soft opening at its new location, 613 E. Fifth St., earlier this week. According to the restaurant’s website, Agnes is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays.
Just a few steps away at 204 Wayne Avenue, Soleil Movement Studio is preparing for its grand opening in early August. The studio focuses on wellness and low-impact movement, offering classes for yoga, mat pilates, barre, sound healing, and more. A ribbon cutting is planned for 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, with additional grand opening celebrations to follow on Saturday, August 9.
Finally, Columbus-based Mikey’s Late Night Slice is preparing to open its first Dayton location at 503 E. First St. in the Water Street District. The restaurant features New York-style pizzas by the slice and by the pie. According to the Dayton Business Journal, the new pizza spot is expected to open later this year.
