The community is invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for the newly renovated Dayton Convention Center. Work on the $45 million renovation on the 150,000-square-foot convention center was completed earlier this year. Additions to the convention center include modern amenities, flexible meeting spaces and cutting-edge technology. Leaders with the Montgomery County Convention Facilities Authority say the upgrades and reimagination of the property will make Dayton an attractive choice for regional and national events.
“We are excited to showcase this incredible asset as anchor for a new era in downtown Dayton,” MCCFA Executive Director/CEO Pam Plageman tells the Dayton Business Journal. “Vibrant downtowns are a powerful catalyst to economic growth and we are proud to be at the heart of it all.”
The free public celebration will take place on Friday, June 27. Festivities begin with a ribbon cutting at 3 p.m. followed by activities, tours, and refreshments.
