An easy way for our community to support downtown businesses with quick, convenient, cashless currency you keep on your phone.
Downtown Dollars is an e-gift card program of the Downtown Dayton Partnership that gives you more flexibility to support your favorite local businesses. When you purchase Downtown Dollars, you will receive a digital e-gift card that can be redeemed at more than 70 participating locations.
Keep Spending Local With Downtown Dollars!
Downtown Dollars is an e-gift card program of the Downtown Dayton Partnership designed to keep local dollars with our downtown businesses. This Community eGift Card program, managed by our technology partner, Yiftee, is digital and easy to use. When you purchase Downtown Dollars for a friend, family member, or colleague, you’re giving them the means to experience the best shopping, dining, and entertainment in Downtown Dayton.
When you use your Downtown Dollars, you are putting money in the pockets of local businesses that need your support now more than ever!
This program, which delivers gift cards via email or text message, offers several benefits to customers:
– There are no monthly inactivity fees.
– Monthly reminders are sent via email and/or text message to help customers remember they have the gift card available for use – a small inactivity fee kicks in after 12 consecutive months of non use.
– Your Downtown Dollars balance is listed directly on the card, and is updated as the card balance is depleted.
– Purchasing cards is fast, personalized, and instantaneous – great for last-minute gifts!
– Funds are immediately available (no need to wait for a physical card to be mailed).
How It Works
It’s simple. Purchase Downtown Dollars by clicking here, choose an amount, and it will be delivered by email or text message.
Want to deliver your electronic gift card to the recipient in person? Simply choose “print for hand deliver.”
Customers pay a small e-delivery fee of $1 + 5% of the cards value, which supports our technology partner and is a small cost in return for having the flexibility to use the gift card at multiple downtown Dayton locations.
Interested in making a bulk purchase ($2,500 or more)? Contact Elizabeth Mills at mills@downtowndayton.org to discuss reduced eDelivery fees for paying by check, ACH or wire transfer.
Where to Spend Your Downtown Dollars
Downtown Dollars are accepted at more than 70 participating merchants in Downtown Dayton. Vendors are always being added, so be sure to check back frequently to make sure your favorite restaurant or retailer accepts the digital gift cards.
Every time you use your Downtown Dollars at a participating business, it puts money directly in the pockets of those businesses that need our help. And it relies on you doing activities you love, like shopping at your favorite downtown retailers, or bringing home take-out from your favorite downtown restaurants!
