For the fourth time, a Wheat Penny Oven & Bar bartender has taken the top prize in the Miami Valley Restaurant Association’s Battle of the Bartenders. Thomas Morris and the “Queen Stays Queen” cocktail earned high marks from the judges in this year’s contest, which took place at the Steam Plant late last month. Morris paired the tiki-style drink with coconut shrimp and bang bang sauce. The annual event features creative cocktail and food pairings from 10 local restaurants. This was the 10th year for the competition.
