Join us for an artist talk with Edd McGatha in conjunction with his exhibition, 2024/366 Picture of the Day Project.
In 2024—a leap year with 366 days—Edd committed to creating a photograph every single day. The only rule: the selected image had to be taken on the specific day it represents. What began as a simple framework evolved into a year-long discipline that resulted in more than 10,000 images and countless stories.
During this talk, Edd will share insights into his creative process, the challenges and discoveries of daily image-making, and his experience documenting life primarily in Tipp City and Dayton, with additional work captured during a trip to New York City. Attendees will gain perspective on the rigor, intuition, and storytelling behind selecting one image to represent each day.
