Big Ideas for Defending Democracy, Thursday, November 13, 5-6:30 pm, Main Library, Conference Room 3A: Community members interested in enhancing civic engagement and building trust across diverse backgrounds are encouraged to attend this book club.
November’s book is How Civil Wars Start and How to Stop Them by Barbara F. Walter. Read and discuss current threats to democracy and explore how community collaborations can counter domestic extremism and revitalize human rights. Co-sponsored by the Kettering Foundation and the University of Dayton Roesch Chair in the Social Sciences. Pizza will be served. (Adults)
