In Black Women Taught Us: An Intimate History of Black Feminism, Jackson explores the legacy of Black women. As a queer, androgynous Black woman and assistant professor at Syracuse University, Jackson’s research focuses on Black politics, including Black feminist movements, racial threat, gender and sexuality, policing, and political behavior.
Their forthcoming academic book, Policing Blackness, investigates how racial threat influences Black Americans’ political behavior. A book signing will follow this event, which is intended for an adult audience. Registration is not required.
