Books in Their Hands: Jane Addams Peace Association presents Rafael López

DML has partnered with the Jane Addams Peace Association to present Books in Their Hands, bringing award-winning illustrator Rafael López to speak about his work, including Jane Addams Children’s Book Award winner The Day You Begin, directly with children and educators in our community. Rafael López is an internationally recognized illustrator and artist. His illustrations bring diverse characters to children’s books and he is driven to produce and promote books that reflect and honor the lives of all young people. In this program, he will discuss his work and his artistic process. This program is open to all ages, though the presentation will be geared toward children. Registration required.
