The final program in Dayton Metro Library’s Brown vs Board 70th Anniversary Commemorative Discussion series, What Now?, will be held on Tuesday, November 5, from 6-7:30 pm in the Main Library’s Eichelberger Forum.
Discussion will include what lessons our public schools are still learning from the landmark case’s decision, as well as what the current state of race relations regarding access to education and resources is and how all current and future teachers in both public and private schools are impacted.
Panel guests include: Dr. David Lawrence, Dayton Public Schools Superintendent; Dr. Christa Preston Agiro, Professor, Teacher Education Culture Studies & Humanities, Wright State University; Dr. Crystal Philips, Principal, DECA; and Mattie White, First Vice President NAACP, President National Council of Negro Women, Inc.
