Carriage Hill Steam Engine: Free Corn on the Cob

Stop by and see Carriage Hill’s steam engine in action as it steams local sweet corn from a local Market vendor, come on down and taste a delicious ear of corn for free. The steam engine was an integral part of life in the late 1800’s, this steam engine was built in 1896 by Hagerstown Steam Engine & Machine Company. Questions are welcome and free ears of corn are available. Carriage Hill is one of the many parks within Five Rivers MetroParks and so is the Market! Corn is provided by one of the Market’s farmers.
