There’s always something fun going on downtown! Below you’ll find a list of events scheduled for today. Use the filters at the top to find events by date, keyword, and more. You can also view the calendar by month or as a list of 20 events at a time.

Chess Fest 2025

Dayton Metro Library and the Dayton Chess Society are partnering to host Chess Fest 2025 at the Main Library on Saturday, November 22, from 9:30 am-5 pm. Patrons ages 8 to 18 will enjoy a full day of learning, playing, and competing. Free Chess 101 and 102 sessions will be offered throughout the day, along with a free, unrated tournament and an open play area. While the tournament requires advance registration, the other activities are drop-in. Additional details and a schedule of events will be announced soon at DaytonMetroLibrary.org.
