Dayton Metro Library will host Executive Director’s Author Series with Silvia Moreno-Garcia on Thursday, September 11, from 6-7:30 pm in the Main Library’s Eichelberger Forum.
This special moderated event welcomes Moreno-Garcia, an author known for blending Latinx heritage and captivating horror and folklore. She will discuss how she weaves cultural narratives into her contemporary fiction, bringing folklore to life, and will share insights into her creative process and the significance of folklore in modern fiction.
Moreno-Garcia is the author of such works as Velvet Was the Night and The Daughter of Doctor Moreau.
Half Price Books will be on hand after the event, as a book signing will follow. This program is sponsored by Friends of the Dayton Metro Library. Registration is required, with adult patrons encouraged to attend.
