Imagine a symphony that doesn’t follow traditional rules but instead feels like a living, breathing force of nature. It’s filled with turbulence, soaring melodies, and moments of pure, primal energy. That’s Nielsen’s “Fourth Symphony,” and in this concert, we’ve paired it with Rachmaninoff’s beloved “Second Piano Concerto,” an emotionally powerful piece performed by legendary pianist Garrick Ohlsson.
