Preservation Dayton, Inc. (PDI) invites the public to experience the city’s rich spiritual and architectural heritage during its Historic Churches Tour, showcasing some of Dayton’s most significant houses of worship. Monica Snow, vice president of PDI, states, “This tour offers a rare opportunity to explore the history and architecture of four of Dayton’s remarkable religious landmarks. PDI is excited to partner with these congregations to share their fascinating history and the contributions they are making to the greater Dayton region.”
The guided tour will highlight a selection of Dayton’s historic churches known for their remarkable design including First Baptist Church of Dayton, Second Church of Christ Scientist, Grace United Methodist Church, and Sacred Heart Church. Attendees will gain insight into how these sacred spaces have shaped neighborhoods and stood as local landmarks for generations. Tours will take place on Sunday, October 26 from 1-4pm.
